About Adult & Teen Challenge WA

At Adult & Teen Challenge WA, our aim is to put “Hope in Reach” for individuals trapped in the cycle of drug, alcohol and other addictions. We will support them in taking an active role to shape their life, future and remain free from addiction.

One of the unique aspects of the Adult & Teen Challenge WA program is its Christian influence, and acknowledging that the ‘love and strength of God’ plays a critical part in the healing process of addiction. Many of our past students testify that being introduced to God through the program, provided an anchor during the difficult road of breaking free of addiction. The process of rehabilitation is not something one can do alone.

Students will also, be supported throughout the Rehabilitation process by an experienced management team, with the assistance of live-in male and female support workers.

Adult & Teen Challenge WA is a long-term residential rehabilitation program, which takes from 12 to 14 months to complete. It is a strict drug free program, which treats the whole person, physically, mentally and spiritually. Students of the Adult & Teen Challenge WA program are required to participate fully in all aspects of the program. Failure to do so may result in dismissal.

The Program takes place at Grace Academy, near the Western Australian town of Esperance. Situated on 250 acres of farm land, it consists of a 40 bed facility, with male and female accommodation, classrooms, library, lecture facility, dining room, chapel and office. The property also has a large lake, a gymnasium and a grassed area which is used for sporting activities.

The regional location allows students to take that first step in separating themselves from the influences of their past life in order to move forward. Throughout the program, students will be provided a variety of teaching topics regarding a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle. This gives students the opportunity to learn new skills that will assist them in re-integrating, following the successful completion of the program.
