Travis Tompkin

Deputy Chair & Interim CEO

Travis was born and raised in Perth and, together with his wife Cheryl, attends Kingdomcity Church. They are proud parents to their daughter, Amanda, and grandparents to their grandson, Austin.

Practical, grounded and unpretentious, Travis brings a down-to-earth approach to leadership and ministry. While naturally light-hearted and witty, he is deeply serious about his faith and the call of God on his life. He is also an experienced and successful businessman who brings strong practical and leadership experience to organisations and people he serves.

Travis has a particular heart for seeing people overcome addiction, rebuild their lives and discover hope and purpose. He has been actively involved in helping others with alcohol, drug & relational issues for the past 20 years and currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the Adult & Teen Challenge WA Board. During a period of organisational transition, he has also stepped into the role of Interim CEO.

His ministry extends well beyond his work with Adult & Teen Challenge. Travis leads a fortnightly Christian men’s ministry in Joondalup, encouraging men to grow in their faith, strengthen their families and become better husbands, fathers and leaders. He also preaches and teaches weekly via video link to students and churches in Lahore, Pakistan.

Much of Travis’s ministry happens personally and informally. He can often be found in coffee shops meeting with people one-on-one—challenging, encouraging, counselling and equipping them in their faith and life. He also regularly serves as a Street Chaplain in Fremantle.

At the heart of everything Travis does is a desire to see people restored, strengthened and equipped to become all that God has called them to be.
